Adjusting Steam Radiator

NY

Here I am back from my 3 days in NY! I warn you post will be long, I took about 250 pictures ^ ^. Well obviously I sorted and I show you the principal.

Day 1:

Friday starting at 5 am from Montreal, and about 6 o'clock bus. During this trip, we stopped at the store Dudy Free Canadian customs and just after, or on those who did not have Canadian passports must come first. The customs officer asked me a lot of questions before they stamp my passport (or just kind of you, why you're here, for how long and blah blah blah). The trip went
relatively quickly. We had the right to report on New York for us to cultivate a little.

arrived in New York, we have to be deposited on the 34th near Macy's, which apparently would be the largest commercial building in the world with 198,500 m2 of commercial floor, with a choice of goods from more varied ( as well say that our Gallery Lafayette is ridiculous side).

Not having the heart to go shopping but more to discover the city, I was visiting the area, the Garment District. We had more than 1h30 free time. So towards the Empire State Building dominates the 5th Avenue with its 443m (and its 86 floors), the neighborhood "Flariton District" with the Madison Square and the Flatiron Building located at 5th Avenue corner Broadway, also known as "the iron board "(87m high, 22 floors).

We stay a while to walk around Times Square. And we stopped at the giant screen of the store Forever 21. After "Where's Waldo", "where is Aline.

the evening we ate in Times Square in " Sangria 46 " English cuisine, very nice. Here the servers are on the lookout for your actions impressive. Ha thing I noticed over there is TIPS (tips) are always included in the final note, unlike in Quebec. No need to bother to calculate the TIP, they do it for you (they take 18% gratuity to your bill), so you have a bad service or not, must play the game

After the restaurant we still had 2 hours of free time to enjoy your surroundings. So the direction of "Disney Store" where I had another 5 years and I was amazed at everything, and I want to buy everything, but I am content (with in mind the image of my suitcase already packed to rabord, right now it's quiet).

The night we stayed at the "Hyatt Place Secaucus " New Jersey, where it is 10 minutes by bus from downtown NY.

Day 2: Depart at 7:45

, and Grand Central Terminal to see the famous train station.

It is open since 1913. The vast main hall has a famous painting of the zodiac constellation of winter across the entire width of the ceiling. The faces of the clock the hall are made of opal. It's really beautiful! It can be seen behind this building in the distance, the Chrysler Building, which measures 319m high and has 77 floors.

After that we took the bus to review more closely the Flatiron Building and head for "Financial District".

We saw the famous "Charging Bull" to the NY Stock Exchange. It is made of bronze of 3400 kg. It is the work of sculptor A. Di Modica, who donated to the city. Apparently this is one of the most photographed sculptures, made of his imposing stature. It has a caption. If it touches three sides of it, the horns-and nose-balls, supposedly she would bring a measure of success in business. No luck, a group of Chinese arrived at the same time that we, therefore impossible to have without all the bull around a Chinese family.

We headed off towards the "Sphere" by Fritz Koenig, a sculpture made in 1971 to symbolize world peace through world trade. It was damaged, battered in the attack of September 11, suddenly, after that it became a memorial to the victims.

American Express in the tower there is another memorial to the 11 employees lost on September 11
We meet here in the neighborhood of Ground Zero, where we have a view on the site of the World Trade Center. It was composed of 7 office buildings, including the two towers. They will be replaced by the Freedom Tower that will measure 533 meters, making it the highest skyscraper in the world.

Chinatown, Chinatown is pretty lively, it is quite perplexing. The streets are narrow and the shops are very colorful. You can see many gift shops, boutiques cons-how, jewelry etc. ...
Our guide took us to a Chinese who has bags of fake brands. In the basement of its gift shop, there were all fakes well hidden. The place was a bit scary, and more good, Chanel bags, Prada, do not care a bit.

For lunch we headed to the Italian neighborhood. We were eating at Da Nico " where I could enjoy a fabulous lasagna, delicious!

Leaving the restaurant, there has been a battle of Italian songs!

We took the ferry from Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty, but lack of luck we had the right to rain and fog, So we have just seen.

the evening, we walked to South Street Seaport. This is one of the very touristy areas. This ancient seaport leads the district with its shops, typical restaurants and walkways, and especially its historic ships.
We were eating at "Cabana" located in the Pier 17 mall. From this, one has a magnificent view!

After the restaurant, we did a night tour in NY, you could see the Manhattan Bridge lit up and we went into Brooklyn.

Day 3: Depart at 7:45

, towards Central Park.

Along Central Park, we find the most exclusive buildings in the city. The Dakota hotel located in the 72nd Street was home to many famous artists, including John Lennon. He was also the site of his assassination in 1980. You can see the memorial "Strawberry Fields" with the famous mosaic "imagine" offered by the city of Naples in Central Park (reproduction of a stele of Pompeii).

Ballad bus on 5th Avenue along Central Park. We could see the various museums, such as the Museum of Natural History, the Guggenheim, the Metropolitan and Frick.

Ballad walk on 5th Avenue. Trump Tower is a glass tower of 58 storeys, completed in 1983. She is known for its setbacks in which trees and shrubs were planted.

St. Patrick's Cathedral is dedicated to the patron saint of Ireland. Today, its dimensions appear smaller due to the various buildings surrounding it.
We saw a piece of the Berlin Wall displayed on a small square between Madison and 5th Avenue.

The Rockefeller Center is a collection of skyscrapers in the heart Midtown sector. Instead of Rockefeller Center is surrounded by the flags of the world. You can see the gilded bronze statue of Prometheus surrounded by water jets. In summer the place becomes a huge terrace with cafes and an ice rink in winter with its giant Christmas tree lit up.

I saw Sponge Bob on Times Square in the flesh! The class is not it?

The guide took us to visit the fire station 54 (which has lost all his men on September 11).

lunch before taking the bus to return to Montreal, we ate at the restaurant "Brazil Brazil" . We had time to eat slowly and it was left to hop 6am bus. These three days passed quickly, but I was good at YOOOOooooOOORK NEW! Yeah!
