Monument Valley
This beautiful park, by far my favorite, is located in southern Utah and northern Arizona. The site is part of a Navajo Indian Reservation and the Colorado Plateau. The nearest town is Goulding. The Navajos called the place Tse Bii 'Ndzisgaii, the valley of rocks. The bright colors of the rock (sandstone massif1) come from iron oxide and manganese
Bryce Canyon is a spectacle of color and erosion is the

Grand Canyon

The park covers an area of protected 4 927 km ² 1. It is visited annually by more than four million visitors. The natural diversity and landscape of the region was recognized World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1979.
Lake Powell Lake Powell is an artificial lake created on the Colorado River by Glen Canyon Dam was completed in 1963. Along nearly 300 miles, the lake is in Arizona and Utah. It became a popular recreational area. The lake is at its lowest level since its impoundment in 1980.
